Source of the Data

Most personal data is provided directly by users during gameplay or communication. Some data, such as IP addresses and connection logs, is generated automatically by server systems when users connect.

Legal Basis for Processing

Personal data is processed based on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) for operating, securing, and moderating the HyBeans server and community. Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time.

Data Retention

• IP addresses and connection logs: retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention
• In-game usernames and identifiers: retained for the duration of gameplay activity
• Moderation-related records: retained as long as necessary to enforce rules and resolve disputes
• Contact emails or messages: retained until the request is resolved, then deleted

Recipients of Personal Data

Personal data is not sold or shared for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data may be processed by trusted service providers acting as data processors, including:

• Game server and infrastructure hosting providers
• Email service providers
• Community platforms such as Discord

All processors act under contractual obligations consistent with GDPR requirements.

International Data Transfers

Personal data is primarily processed within the European Union / European Economic Area. Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA (for example by external service providers), appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are applied.
